1. WHAT IS IT?
The Glow Dance-a-thon is a Liberty Corner School PTO fundraiser.  Raise money to install an outdoor water filling station with filtration system for our students!

2. WHY?
In lieu of traditional fundraisers and direct donations campaigns, the LCS PTO has decided to host a Glow Dance-a-thon that supports healthy lifestyles and fun fundraising.

By doing so we hope to have:

  • 100% participation where every child is included regardless of the ability to raise funds
  • Raise money to install an outdoor water filling station and filtration system.
  • Encourage our kids to be healthy and accomplish something amazing.

3. WHO CAN DONATE?
Students are encouraged to ask their parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, family friends, or anyone else who cares about their educational enviornment, to contribute to the fun run. A donor letter is enclosed with sample wording for each student to send to their sponsors explaining our school goal. A quick and efficient way to reach a large number of people is through e-mail. Create a list of out-of-town and/or local friends and family and tell them about our LCS Glow Dance. Let them know that they are not being asked to buy anything. This fundraiser is totally different!

4. HOW DO THEY RAISE MONEY?
There are two ways for students to collect donations. The first way is through your child’s individual website, which can be found in this packet. You can also go to "Donate to a Participant"on the right and do a search for your child. The second way is to collect checks made out to LCS PTO – please make sure you put your student’s name on the check, so we can credit the money to them, on their website.

5. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SPONSOR AND A DONOR?
All Glow Dance donations are collected by the student and the funds go directly to the water system. Sponsors are businesses or clubs to help support the cost of the fundraiser and provide each student with glow props to enjoy at the Glow Dance-a-thon. Visit our sponsorship page for more information.

6. HOW MUCH DO WE NEED TO RAISE?
We have a goal set for $50 per student and we hope to exceed that goal!

7. HOW DO THE PRIZES WORK?
Every child will receive a glow shirt and glow props for the dance and a BPA-free water bottle to use at the filling station.

8. WHEN IS THE ACTUAL GLOW DANCE-A-THON?
The Glow Dance will take place during the day on January 26, 2018 in the gym hosted by the LCS PTO and the Physical Education Department.

9. WHO DO I CONTACT WITH QUESTIONS?
Please direct any questions to

10. CAN I ATTEND?
We wish that every parent could attend this exciting new event. Unfortunately, due to space restrictions, only the volunteer committee will be assisting the children during the event.

11. IS THIS A TAX-DEDUCTIBLE DONATION?
The LCS PTO is a non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Please contact your accountant for specific filing instructions.
